Always busy and always curious about life and new ideas to better her business, Valerie was introduced to the field of Applied and Creative Arts at the Blanche Macdonald Centre in Vancouver where she learned a practical understanding of best practices in Makeup Artistry, Fashion Design, Fashion Merchandising, Hairstyling, Esthetics / Spa Therapy and Nail Technology. She went on to specialize as an esthetician during an apprenticeship at several well-known high energy lower mainland spa and treatment centers combined with numerous specialized continuing education training programs. She was eventually offered the highly rewarding honour to be selected as a private consultant for the development of a major spa in Richmond which evolved into the ongoing role of staff manager and trainer.

Born in Richmond, Katrina was trained locally at a recognized and respected hairdressing school then went on to study the “Pivot Point” academic cosmetology training that teaches a specific set of internationally recognized styling techniques. The system is renowned for techniques in cutting hair, curling, coloring and styling and certifies students for work at salons literally around the globe. Upon completion of her formal training, Katrina continued to hone her skills by working at several high-end hair salons’ specializing in color and cut. Working next to talented hair dressers challenged her professionally and led to numerous continuing education programs, attendance at many professional industry trade shows, and a series of advanced education programs in the USA. Katrina has been a hair stylist for over 10 years now and enjoys being recognized as a master stylist for the past 7 of those years. She is thrilled to have the opportunity to build a thriving business with Valerie and is always quick to acknowledge that she loves her job; and is inspired to always learn more. To create and be creative is a big part of her life and she hopes to always bring new ideas to her clients old and new.
